The most admirable person in my life.

Susana Flores
Topic: The most admirable person in my life is Jesus Christ.

Academic Paragraph.

The person I admire the most in my life is Jesus Christ. He has showed me in so many ways that his love is the same as it was before when he was alive, and it will be forever. To explain my admiration to him, I am going to mention the following reasons. The first reason is the propose of his life, it means to me my salvation and freedom through sacrificing his life and suffering all our sins, pain and sickness on the cross. The second reason is his personality was admirable because during his life he always showed the people his humbled heart and kindness, just to the fact that he left his throne to become alive it’s an act of humility. The third reason I admire Jesus Christ is his power of love that he demonstrated after he was baptized with the holly spirit. He stared healing sick people. Lots or miracles were seeing every where. He couldn’t stand people suffering, but these issues of healing and miracles taking part are just a small part of his power of love. Accordingly to what I mentioned above. It encourages me more to get to know about his life that makes me admire not only his life, but his love too.

Acadamic Describing.

   My

My family and I used to go once a week to my grandmother’s apartment. The apartment where my grandmother lived was unforgettable. First, to get to my grandmother’s apartment was fun because she lived in the third floor. When we stepped out of the car, right away in the left side, we could see the stairs, whish was made of concrete. The stairs were narrow, only two people could fit trough it. I remember every time when I arrived there my grandmother’s door apartment was open. I enjoyed the special smell that distinguishes my grandmother’s apartment; it was a scent of the meadows, and my grandmother’s favorite’s recipes. Second, my grandmother’s living room was very pleasant. It really was a lovely place. To the right side of the living room it was a tiny balcony where I enjoyed the most magnificent views of the Cathedral. I remember seeing my grandmother welcoming us with a beautiful smile after she welcomed us we used to get something to eat at the dining room which next to the living room on the left side of the main entrance. I enjoyed eating in my Grandmother’s apartment not only the good food she prepared, but also seeing her enjoying companionship that we shared together. The kitchen was located in between the dining and the living room which was a fun place to be because it was a tiny kitchen. I loved playing there, imagining that I was playing in a doll house. Finally, my Grandmother’s bedroom was nest to the dining room , and it was an amazing room, there was a balcony in front of her bedroom and her bedroom was just near the door on the left side, I have wonderful memories here because we used to lay down on her bed , and talk, she had wonderful stories about her life. I was never tired of listening to her stories, I had a precious relationship with her. Even though my Grandmother lived in a very small apartment, it was a big place to visit because inside of this apartment lived an amazing woman who made this apartment unforgettable.

My fifteenth birthday was a wonderful experience.

My fifteenth birthday was a very nice event to remember because I received more than what I expected. My parents gave me the following surprises: at First, they had a party for me where the music was so nice that almost every body enjoyed the music, and they were dancing. The food tasted great because my mom prepared it, she made a dish with pork, pasta, and vegetables on the side. Second, my parents took me to Denver, Colorado; this trip was amazing because it was my first visit to United States. We visited the big mountains; I remember some of them had snow on the top, and the views were beautiful! We also ate different cultural food from Brazil, such as, fechuada, it tasted delicious. Last but not the least wonderful thing is to remember I received lots of presents from my friends, and relatives. Because all this events, I will always going to remember the effort and the love my parents put in, for my fifteenth birthday party.

Memories of Writing

Topic: Memories of writing.

Writing is a very important way of communicating. Not only to be information, but also to express ones feelings. I don’t remember taking a writing class during my academic education, but I do remember in college I had to write a lot. For example, I had to synthesize articles or chapters, and sometimes I had to write my own opinion about them. I had to say, it was not easy.  I had to use formal vocabulary.  I don’t remember a particular paper I wrote about.  This happened about 15 years ago, but I do remember the more I wrote, the more confident I was about my writing. I think writing in any language is challenging.  For me writing in English takes an extra effort because its grammar is difficult and sometimes there are not rules for it. It’s just the way it is and that’s it. Even though writing in English is hard for me, I am not without hope that some day I am going to write well, maybe not perfectly well, but much better than how I do it now. It takes a lot of practice! Writing this paragraph is a good way to practice and improve my writing skills. Another fun way for me to practice writing would be chatting or e-mailing to English speaking friends through the Internet. For me it will be easier this way because I do enjoy writing to friends in my own language. Therefore, I think I will enjoy it in English too. Definitely every single effort to write in English is a reason to be proud because it takes knowledge, time and a lot of patience.
